As young doctors begin their life in medicine, they often seek my advice, perhaps mistaking my gray hair for wisdom. In response, I often stress several factors that have guided me in my career: family first; follow your heart; persevere even when (especially when!) the going gets tough. You may not be able to control all that life throws at you, but you can control how you react to it. And remember that the journey is most important because life is a long race, not a sprint.

A plant-based diet is associated with a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer and death, according to a large-scale review published Wednesday.
The Research, which appears in the journal PLOS ONE, analyzed the results of nearly 50 studies published from 2000 to 2023.

The over-the-counter pill was pulled in the US in 2020 after animal studies found a key ingredient released ‘probable human carcinogens’.

A new study out of Japan found a significant increase in cancer deaths after taking a 3rd Covid vaccine shot. The data showed that cancer deaths started rising again in Japan in 2021.

Results of a recent cross-sectional study suggest that surveillance colonoscopy may be riskier than it’s worth for adults aged 70 and older.
Can you be too old to get a colonoscopy?
Perhaps, according to results from a cross-sectional conducted at Kaiser Permanente Northern California in Oakland, California. The study was published on April 2 in JAMA Network Open.
The results indicated that colonoscopies rarely detect colorectal cancer in older adults – even if they have a history of benign tumors called adenoma. Continue reading
Many people who receive one stent will need additional stents, but as the number of devices in the heart increases, so do the risks of serious complications.
If a coronary artery has become narrowed, reducing healthy blood flow through your heart, your doctor may recommend that you have a stent placed in that artery.
A heart stent is a small mesh tube that helps open up a blocked artery to allow for improved blood flow. A surgeon uses a catheter to insert a collapsed stent into a blood vessel (often in your wrist or groin) and guide it to the narrowed portion of the artery, where they then expand it to improve circulation.
It’s not uncommon for a person who needs one stent to need additional stents in the same or other coronary arteries. Continue reading
U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officials found evidence that the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines caused multiple deaths before claiming that there was no evidence linking the vaccines to any deaths, The Epoch Times has learned.
CDC employees worked to track down information on reported post-vaccination deaths and learned that myocarditis—or heart inflammation, a confirmed side effect of the vaccines—was listed on death certificates and in autopsies for some of the deaths, according to an internal file obtained by The Epoch Times.
Myocarditis was also described as being caused by vaccination in a subset of the deaths. Continue reading

One of the cruelest things about being injured by a pharmaceutical is the degree to which doctors will deny the idea that the injury happened (as acknowledging it requires them to accept the shortcomings of the medical model they’ve invested their lives into). This denial is known as medical gaslighting and it is often so powerful that friends and family members of the patient will adopt the reality asserted by those doctors and likewise gaslight the injured patient. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen this tragedy transpire in my immediate circle and one of my missions here has been to bring awareness to medical gaslighting and explain why it always happens (i.e., it was discussed in detail HERE).
